Head of Humerus Fracture

Pre Operative X rays


This 20-year-old female, with a history of Type 1 Diabetes, presented following a fall 2 days ago, resulting in considerable shoulder pain and limited range of motion.Radiographic assessment revealed a humeral head fracture with loss of the medial hinge. She was expertly managed with PHILLOS plating and strut bone grafting to restore both the structural integrity and functionality of the joint.

Follow-up (1.5 years later):

At her 1.5-year follow-up, the patient demonstrates remarkable recovery, exhibiting a full and unrestricted range of motion (ROM) in the affected shoulder. Radiographs confirm a solid, well-healed union, with no signs of complications. The patient reports an excellent functional outcome, having regained complete shoulder function with no lingering limitations
